This society was founded in 1967 for the purpose of promoting biochemical research and education in the areas of chemistry, biology, medicine, pharmacy, and agriculture in South Korea.
The Japanese Biochemical Society
Established in 1925, and joined Japan Medical Society in 1926, it became an incorporated association in 1965. This society has a membership of 13,620 in 1998, consisting of biochemists and molecular biologists.
