Balaklava Community Arts Inc.
Balaklava Community Arts Inc. is a community bassd group who aim to promote the arts to the wider community. The Balaklava Eisteddfod Society is a sub committee of this group. More details can be found on the web site.
Balaklava Eisteddfod Society
Non-profit voluntary group promoting the growth of musical and artistic talent within regional areas. Annual competitions held many fields. News, pictures, and event dates and venues provided.
Balaklava High School
Balaklava High School - "Excel Today To Challenge The Future". Balaklava High School has a population of about 500 students, 40 teachers and 12 ancillary staff. Students come from a diversity of backgrounds, including: long established farming communities, small hobby farms, rural townships and families who have shifted from the northern suburbs of Adelaide seeking a rural lifestyle.

Wakefield Regional Council
The WRC came into effect on 1st July 1997, as a result of the amalgamation of the former District Council of Blyth-Snowtown and the former District Council of Wakefield Plains. The WRC covers a geographical area of 343,500 hectares with a population of 6,747 (estimated as at 30 June 1998 by the Australian Bureau of Statistics).
