We house all strays brought to the shelter by the Animal Control Warden and those found by citizens of Portsmouth. The shelter also houses those pets that their owners no longer want or can no longer care for.

A non-profit organization. Contains tips for finding a lost pet, adoption, redemption, and dog license fees, low cost spay/neuter information, humane education and pet therapy programs, and volunteer opportunities.

Provides animal assisted therapy in nursing homes, personal homes and hospitals for any patient in need of a visit. We provide rescue support to persons with AIDS/HIV or other disability who currently have a pet and have difficulty with care and upkeep.
