Ida Lewis is the most celebrated lighthouse keeper in American history, credited with saving 18 lives. The Lime Rock Lighthouse is now the home of the Ida Lewis Yacht Club.

Currently listed on charts as a private aid to navigation. The Lighthouse is maintained by keepers who sign on for a week at a time as part of an environmental education program.
