Founded in 1855, the BYC has played a leading role in the America's Cup races of the last century and the 360-mile, biennial, Marblehead-to-Halifax Ocean Race, formalized in 1939. The racing program includes a Spring and a Fall Regatta, the Hodder Regatta, the Wednesday's Child Benefit Regatta, and participation in Marblehead Race Week.

Founded in 1870, Eastern's rich history includes members who have successfully defended the America's Cup as well as celebrated designers. Each season, the EYC hosts regional, North American, and World Championship regattas.

Established by the Boston, Corinthian, and Eastern Yacht Clubs, the MRA fosters One Design Racing in the Marblehead area. Races are held every weekend from May to September, and the highlight MRA Regatta is Marblehead Race Week, held during the last week of July.
