Located 10 miles from the village of Bethel, Maine, the Inn was built at the turn of the century in the midst of a stand of white birches as a hand-crafted Adirondack-style lodge by Leon Blanchard, founder of Prudential Insurance. Still in its pristine setting at the base of Caribou Mountain, it is surrounded by the White Mountain National Forest.

The Cameron House, the grand Victorian home on Mason Street, was built by local businessman Augustus Farwell, during the summer of 1895 as a private residence. Located on two wooded acres a "five iron shot" from The Bethel Inn & Country Club and its 18 hole championship course, we neighbor the famous Dr. Moses Mason House and Bethel Historical Society.

One of the oldest structures in Bethel built in 1865 by a retired sea captain. The Inn is located in the heart of the Bethel Village historic district.
