Cancer Prevention Studies Branch
Plans, develops, and conducts intramural research, nutritional and chemoprevention interventions and trials, and develops methodologies for ascertaining study priorities and for assuring quality control in cancer research.
HIV and AIDS Malignancy Branch
Conducts translational research on HIV infection and AIDS-related malignancies. Engages in basic laboratory research, preclinical studies, and clinical trials aimed at developing novel therapies for AIDS and AIDS-related malignancies.
Laboratory of Pathology
Conducts all of the diagnostic anatomic pathology for patients undergoing clinical trials in the National Cancer Institute and in the NIH Clinical Center.
Pediatric Oncology Branch
Provides patients, families and physicians with an overview of the treatments available for children with cancer, and of the research conducted by investigators.
Surgery Branch
Investigators in the branch are involved in the conduct of laboratory and clinical research aimed at improving the management of patients with cancer.
