All NTIS operating costs are paid for by the sale of its products and services.
NIST Weights and Measures Division
Promotes uniformity in U.S. weights and measures laws, regulations, and standards to achieve equity between buyers and sellers in the marketplace. Provides training to state and local weights and measures officials and to state and industry metrologists.
NIST: Materials Science and Engineering Laboratori
provides standards, measurement methods for U.S. polymers industries. The program areas encompass electronics materials, biomaterials, processing characterization, and applications of combinatorial methods.
