C.A.R.E. is a nonprofit network of volunteers that foster and adopt pets into caring homes. It was established in 1987 as a shelter alternative for the animals of Santa Clara County.

Our Mission is to promote respect for animal life through direct care and education. We believe in a future in which every individual experiences the unconditional love of an animal - a future in which all of our animals are wanted, honored and loved.
