Supports a network of educators interested in undergraduate biology. The curricula provide opportunities for students to learn biology by posing problems, developing answers for their own problems, and persuading their peers that their answers are valid and useful.

Dialogues in Methods of Education
An informal community of educators interested in open dialogue about their problems related to teaching. Two-day conferences are held in March and October. The primary interest is in searching for solutions to the "everyday problems" of classroom teachers.
Four Directions
A community of people across 19 schools interested in educating Native American students. Multimedia presentations created by students and lesson plans integrating technology and culture are shared in a common database.
Global Schoolhouse
A major contributor to the philosophy, design, culture and content of Internet-based learning; collaborates with individuals, schools, businesses and community organizations to design, develop, and manage collaborative learning projects.
Museum Learning Collaborative
Established to further theoretically driven research on learning in museums. Site includes a comprehensive annotated literature database and a list of university course syllabi dealing with informal learning and learning in museums.
Paulo Freire Institute
The UCLA-based Institute seeks to bring together scholars, activists, and teachers inspired by Freire's pedagogy to foster the advancement and 'reinvention' of Freirian educational theories.
Science Learning Network
Community of educators, students, schools, science museums and other institutions demonstrating a new model for inquiry science education. Contains a variety of inquiry posed problems, information, demonstrations, and labs.

Provides workshops, programs, on-line support, and an intellectual community of practice which afford science reform educators a deep and rich experience of how inquiry learning looks and feels.

A group that studies whole language theory and practice in teacher support groups, encourages collaboration among teachers, researchers, parents, administrators and teacher educators, and promotes whole language theory, curricula and policies.
