Penn State Fayette
First came to the Penn State system at the creation of the Cooperative Extension Program in 1907. Moved unto 27 acres of farmland near Uniontown in 1968. Now having grown to over 200 acres, the campus acts as host to over 1,100 students.
Penn State Hazleton
Joined the Penn State system at the purchase of the scenic 85-acre Markle estate in 1948. Now consists of 104 acres in West Hazleton, overlooking the Conyngham valley. Maintains a staff of 89 employees and enrollment of about 1,400 students.
Penn State McKeesport
Created originally as an extension to the Penn State system in 1934, the permanent site was made with a 10-acre plot of land adjacent to Renzie Park in 1956. Now 52 acres, the campus is located fifteen miles southeast of Pittsburgh, with a student enrollment of nearly 1,000.
Penn State Mont Alto
Located near Chambersburg in Franklin County. Founded in as the Pennsylvania State Forest Academy, this school offers the first two years of 180 majors as well as 4-year programs in nursing, occupational therapy, human development and family studies.
Penn State New Kensington
Introduced into the Penn State system as the New Kensington Center in 1958 from local need for higher education. Now located in Upper Burrell Township, four miles east of New Kensington, the 72-acre campus is home to 43 full-time faculty and over 1,000 students.
Penn State Shenango
Founded in 1964, and relocated in 1968 on the current 14.5 acres set in downtown Sharon. The only urban campus in the Penn State system. Maintains three bachelor and eight associate degree programs, and a student enrollment of just over 1,000.
