Formed in 1998 to provide a means where alumni and friends of The Daily Collegian may join together, stimulate continued interest in The Collegian among all its graduates, and promote The Collegian and Penn State among prospective and current students, alumni, and friends.

Each year, only a select group of 15 undergraduates, selected by the unanimous vote of the previous year's class, are given this highest honor available to an undergraduate.
