Center for Visual Science
Undergraduate students having an interest in neurobiological, optical, psychophysical or computational aspects of vision may receive up to four months of supervised laboratory training and participation in center activities.
DeKiewiet Summer Program
For University of Rochester undergraduates only, this provides stipend and housing support. Students may choose to work in any laboratory at the university.
Ethnic and Multicultural Affairs
This office coordinates SURF, STEP and NIH summer programs for undergraduate students and for New York high school students belonging to under-represented minority groups.
GEBS Summer Scholars Program
Aimed at students interested in careers in research, and in earning a Ph.D. degree, there are opportunities to participate in biomedical research in any one of over 200 laboratories at the Medical Center. Stipend and housing costs are provided.
McNair Summer Research Program
Qualifying students can be from any educational institution participating in the McNair program and must be either a low-income, first-generation college student, or a member of an under-represented group. This program allows students to pursue research in any field of study.
NSF REU in Physics and Astronomy
Research areas in this 10-week program for undergraduates include astronomy and astrophysics, biological physics, condensed matter physics, high energy physics, nuclear physics, plasma and laser physics, quantum optics, and physics education.
NSF REU in Cellular and Molecular Biology
This intensive 10-week research program for undergraduates features an independent project and encouragement to pursue postgraduate education. A full stipend is provided, as well as housing costs.
NSF REU in Chemistry
The 10-week program, Research for Undergraduates, offers exposure across the landscape of contemporary chemical research.
Strong Children's Research Center Summer Trai
Summer training is for students who plan to pursue a medical education and a biomedical research career, as well as for those in medical school.
