Works to increase the ability of individuals and families to function effectively within and across changing environments, enabling them to influence those environments in ways that enhance the people's quality of life. FCE offers both undergraduate and graduate degree programs.

Jointly administered by the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources and the College of Human Ecology at Michigan State University, the Department offers undergraduate and graduate programs in such areas as dietetics, human nutrition, and food science.
