Emerson College
Emerson College is the nation's only four-year college devoted exclusively to the study of communication and performing arts. As an independent, privately supported co-educational college, Emerson engages students as active participants in learning by providing unique opportunities to explore their fields of interest.
Emerson College Library & Media Services Cente
Campus access to the InfoTrac databases is made possible by the Massachusetts Library and Information Network, a service of the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners. The Board is the agency of state government responsible for the improvement of library services throughout the Commonwealth. The project is funded by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Emerson Majestic Theatre
The Emerson Majestic Theatre is owned by Emerson College in Boston, which uses it for student productions and special events. Most of the time (80%) it is used by local and national performing artists, so the events are professionally produced.
Institute For Liberal Arts And Interdiciplinary St
Promotes the interdisciplianry study of the liberal arts at Emerson, with the goal of advancing ethical and theoretical understanding of the fields of communication and technology.
School of Communication Sciences & Disorders
The School is dedicated to offering diverse opportunities for professional development, providing exemplary instruction and mentorship in model academic and clinical programs, and fostering competence and leadership in its graduates.
School of the Arts - Writing, Literature and Publ
Writing courses include fiction, nonfiction, poetry, screenwriting, and children's literature, while publishing courses encompass book, magazine, and electronic forms.
School of the Arts - Performing Arts
Offers the Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting, Musical Theatre, Dance Theatre, Design/Technology and Stage Management. Acting majors move through a four-year sequence of progressively intensive training.
School of the Arts - Visual and Media Arts
As a commitment to offer a state-of-the-art program, Emerson assures the student access to the same equipment that professionals in the television and film industries use including fully equipped production studios, screening rooms, digital editing stations and field production units, and audio studios.
