The Library is open to the public. Borrowing privileges are extended to students, faculty, and staff of Bridgewater State College; BSC alumni; students and faculty of the SMCL, SACHEM, and MCCLPHEI consortia; and Massachusetts residents who pay a library fee.

The College's acquisition of a $10 million grant through the efforts of U.S. Congressman John Joseph Moakley, allowed the construction of the campus fiber network and a new regional telecommunications facility which dramatically enhances the teaching capability of the region's educational professionals and promotes the growth of the region's economy. The Moakley Center provides training in the use of technology for students, teachers, and members of the work force.

Bridgewater State College's student-supported and operated newspaper has been keeping the college community informed since 1927. Three-thousand issues are printed weekly and distributed to locations on campus and in the community.

The College FM radio station, operated solely by students. Everyday from 8am to 4pm, WBIM brings its listeners the hottest up-and-coming alternative artists. From 4 to 11pm, WBIM offers specialty shows ranging from Metal to Rap to Country.
